art gallery registration and information

The Firehouse Gallery is a juried art show held within the former Sunset Beach Firehouse during the Sunset Beach Art Festival. Local artists can exhibit a maximum of 3 pieces of artwork in the following categories: watercolor painting, oil/acrylic painting, photography, mixed media and sculptures.

Entry Guidelines and Liability
Each artist may submit up to three original works. By completing the online application and submitting their artwork, artists confirm that all entries are their own original creations and agree to comply with all competition rules. A non-refundable fee of $50 must accompany each application for up to 3 entries. The Sunset Beach Community Association, and the Sunset Beach Art Festival Committee, including Gallery Chair Coey Seiler, artgallery@lasdamas.org, assume no responsibility for damage or loss of submitted works due to any cause.
The following categories are accepted: Oil & Acrylics, Watercolor, Photography, and Mixed Media/Sculpture.Artwork Sales and Las Damas SupportAll exhibiting artists will be required to have their work for sale at the show. Las Damas will handle all sales and retain a 20% commission on each transaction. The majority of the proceeds will support Las Damas’ Philanthropic efforts.

Picking up Your Artwork
All artwork must be picked up by the artist on Sunday, May 10 between 3pm & 5pm.
Eligibility & Rules of Competition
- Original Work Only
- Maximum of 3 pieces can be entered
- All Artwork Must be labeled on the back with Artist Name & Title of the Piece
- Space is Limited. Maximum Artwork size is 38” wide by 40” in height including frame. Larger pieces will not be accepted.
- All works submitted must have been completed after January 2023 Please do not submit artwork which has already been shown at the Firehouse Art Gallery.
- Each painting must be dry.
- All works must be framed & wired for hanging.
We reserve the right to reject any work due to content, quality or originality
