art gallery registration and information

The Firehouse Gallery is a juried art show held within the former Sunset Beach Firehouse during the Sunset Beach Art Festival. Local artists can exhibit a maximum of 3 pieces of artwork in the following categories: watercolor painting, oil/acrylic painting, photography, mixed media and sculptures.
Entry Guidelines and Liability
- Each Artist may enter up to 3 original works. By submitting the online application and their artwork, artist confirms that all entries are their own original works and agree to follow all of the rules of the competition. $50 must accompany entry. Please email a photo of each art entry to small.frances8@gmail.com
- All entries are made at the artist’s own risk. Las Damas, The Sunset Beach Community Association and the Sunset Beach Art Festival Committee assume no responsibility for damage or loss by any cause to work submitted to the gallery.
- Categories include: Oil & Acrylics, Watercolor, Photography & Mixed Media/Sculpture.
- Judging will take place on Friday, May 9, 2025
- Show & Competition Entry Form - All artists who are accepted will have the opportunity to sell their work at the show. Las Damas will conduct all sales and collect a 20% commission for all sales. A majority of profits go to the Las Damas philanthropic funds.

The Gallery is located in the Sunset Beach Nobles Community Building at 16861 12th St. in Sunset Beach, CA
Picking up Your Artwork
All artwork must be picked up by the artist on Sunday, May 11 between 3pm & 5pm. Regretfully, Las Damas, it’s members/or representatives cannot be responsible for any artwork that is not picked up by the end of the Sunset Beach Art Festival.
Eligibility & Rules of Competition
- Original Work Only
- Maximum of 3 pieces can be entered
- All Artwork Must be labeled on the back with Artist Name & Title of the Piece
- Space is Limited. Maximum Artwork size is 38” wide by 40” in height including frame. Larger pieces will not be accepted.
- All works submitted must have been completed after January 2024. Please do not submit artwork which has already been shown at the Firehouse Art Gallery.
- Each painting must be dry.
- All works must be framed & wired for hanging.
We reserve the right to reject any work due to content, quality or originality

$100 BEST OF SHOW, Each category: 1st place $75, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25
